Manchurian Candidates
When I was a student at the University of Manitoba from the late 60s to the
late 70s, a new Psychology/Zoology building was built with great fanfare. It
seems that the grants of one Arnold Zubec, a professor of psychology were
instrumental in funding the whole building. Well in the Psych/Zoo building
there were five floors but access to only four; the top floor was sealed off
with special and very controlled access.
One day, in the early 70s, I was having lunch with a grad student in psych
who told me that they had an RCMP guard and that they were doing
sensory/sleep deprivation research, using students who got credits for
participating, with a focus on sensory/sleep deprivation and
maleability/susceptibility to pain during interrogations.
Some students, myself included, were intrigued with all of this and began to
do background investigations on Zubec and his sources of funding. We found
that the majority of his grants came from the "Defense Research Board" of
Canada and one of his grants in particular came from the U.S. Army. Well
there was a groundswell of reaction to this kind of research which
culminated in an expose and portions of the British Government's "Compton
Report" on interrogation techniques used by the British in Northern Ireland
being published showing Zubec as having provided the theoretical work and
foundations for their torture techniques in Northern Ireland. After being
exposed, Zubec committed suicide.
Once this grad student in psych told me that they were also doing microwave
research (based on initial work by the French National Police) exploring
possibilities of using microwaves to jam neurophysiological synapses with
the potential of setting up dispersed microwave transmitters for mass
population/crowd control. I thought it ot be entirely fantastic at the time
although my training in biochemistry led me to know that the human system,
as an electromagnetic system, could potentially be jumbled or slowed down or
even stopped with mass radiation or microwaves at certain frequencies (it is
at least theoretically possible).
Well there is a new book out that some might wish to read: "Secret Weapons"
by Cheryl and Lynn Hersha with Dale Griffis and Ted Schwartz, New Horizon
Press, Far Hills, N.J., 2001 which is about two sisters' claims that they
were taken at 4 and 6 years old and put into a CIA program (by an
ultra-rightist father in the military) seeking young children as "tabula
rasa" to be trained as potential "Manchurian Candidates" and who were
subjected to sexual and physical abuse, programming, drugs, sensory/sleep
deprivation etc; some of those allegedly involved in running the program had
been wanted nazis who had done the same experimental stuff at Dachau and
elsewhere and who were brought into the U.S. under "Operation Paperclip".
There were some of the following known operations detailed: BLUEBIRD (memory
enhancement and erasure); ARTICHOKE (hypnosis, drugs and producing
involuntary assassins); MKULTRA ( LSD and other drugs to induce
malleability, control, memory erasure, compliance etc); MKDELTA (research on
clandestine operations in different cultural contexts); MKSEARCH (covert
funding); MONARCH (producing perfect sleeper spy/assassins); ORION/aka
DREAMLAND (microwave and radar research); ZAP (NSA electronic means to
affect whole population groups); BLACK TRIAD (large population management);
RF MEDIA ( use of electronics, cellular telephone systems, national TV and
radio to create and control desire behaviors of large population segments);
HAARP ( mass population and crowd control);
It is a fantastic story but very plausible and worth looking at and
considering.
