At first Jose's argument may appear reductionist, but we should always
maintain that point of view and get around to it, i.e., that capitalism
is the problem; capitalism initiated the class war; that's how it
exists.  Nevertheless we must fight the battles of our war, sometimes as
we pick them and sometimes as they are forced upon us.  Each one should
be used as an example of how capitalism twists the best intentions of
well-meaning people and subverts principles of many into heedless,
merciless profits for the few.  In the midst of each battle we encounter
more people who have concerns particular to that battle and yet still
don't see the overall connection to the war.  That is our job.  To make
those connections.  A quantum leap beyond "what is known" to an ideal
loses the concrete credibility of our argument.
