CTA calls General Strike, CP headquarters attacked
The CTA, one of the labor federations just called for
a gneral strike for tomorrow to protest police
repression. A headquarters of the Communist Party in
the Southern part was attacked by the police, some
arrests were made there.
There is a demonstration and rally in front of
Congress. The two deaths, 90 wounded confirmed. There
are also 120 people arrested, including members of the
CM, Coordinating Body Anibal Veron, OST, MST and CP.
A journalist said on the radio that the US Ambassador
told him that Argentina should "not expect any
economic aid until Lula (in Brazil) gets the message"
or something to that effect.
So far, only the Congress blocks of the ARI and
Zamora's party condemned the police repression and the killings.
