Re: Self-determination of imperialist nations too?



I think it is possible to make one's point without trying to humiliate
one's interlocutors by accusing them of being "shameful."
What's shame or pride have to do with anything of importance to the
revolution? Those are devices of discipline for dogs, not thinking
people who are devoted to the liberation of humanity.
We can collectively refine our thought creatively only by remaining open
to the process.
Anyway, this debate must be perceieved in material terms historically
wherein no culture or national identity is immutable. It is only in the
sense that every human has rights that we can entertain such notions as
cultural autonomy, language policy, national self-determination, etc. I
refer in part to the last couple of sentences from Part II of the
Manifesto of the Communist Party. Imperialist states contradict such
principles by definition.
