So, will the expanded powers of the FBI, CIA and the new Homeland Defense
Department help curtail such acts of terrorism against American citizens by
the state?  If the Palestinian police blew up and Israeli settler's car, the
media would call that an act of terrorism.  Will who ultimately planted the
bomb ever be discovered?   Under the current rules of engagement, George W.
Bush should instruct FBI Director Robert Mueller to conduct a full
investigation.  Under the current rules of engagement, terrorists by any
other name would be in prison waiting for a military tribunal.  The attacks
against peaceful activists by the state is an act of terrorism executed to
intimidate, to silence or defame.  Just as pedophile priests and those who
harbor them should face criminal charges, so to should state officials who
use violence against citizens for expressing their constitutional right of
free speech.  Will the Congressional oversight committees responsible for
protecting U.S. citizens against such abuse have the personal will and
integrity to prosecute future FBI, CIA or Homeland Defense abuse?
