Credulous skeptics

Louis,

I posted an earlier query on this, asking about FBI infiltration of
skeptics in the Sixties as a secularist listening post for those
politically adjacent.

Anyone who dismisses all suspicions of the government as "conspiracy
theories" along with bigfoot...and bigfoot along with alien aductions,
etc. is either ignorant or pimping for their agenda.  Often quoted by
one of the reactionaries I work with, Shermer regardes the
assassingation of JFK by a lone gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald as a
scientificly proven fact and its critics as foolish and superstitious
gits.  His elderly chum, an often interviewed debunker of UFOs in
television documentaries ("Glass" or "Classe" or something like that) is
an equally articulate in defense of government disinformation and a
veteran of the US intelligence community.

Here, the self pronounced skeptics are not only as reactionary as any
religionists but more dogmatic...and significantly more intellectually
dysfunctional.

I've long suspected that disinformation functions follow infiltration in
some cases.
