For connections between North-South and male-female relations, check out
Patriarchy and Accumulation on a World Scale, by Maria Mies. This is IMHO
an important contribution to the development of historical materialism.
Personally, I consider black-white relations in the US to be part of a
North-South/core-periphery relation. That is, a national question: on
that (in the US) Race in the Global Era, by Clarence Lusane is interesting.
