Hi John,

To know the loyalists is not to over politicise them.  I used to have a
full set of loyalist literature which was produced in the working class
areas of Sandy row and Shankill Road in Belfast. It was the genuine
spontaneous voice of the loyalist working class. One day I dumped it all
because I could no longer bear the burden of filth, hate, racism, stupidity
and bigotry that it contained.

I have seen some recent material from Loyalists in the PUP and it wouldn't
fit any of the  above descriptions.

You may be forgetting about evidence such
as the pro-British Demonstration that Good Old Gusty Spence stage outside
the City Hall in Belfast.  Spence was the Darling of the Stalinist Official
IRA.  They tried to make him out as the political Loyalist they could deal
with. What was the  demo he staged about?  Well, John it was in favour of
British Imperialism in Cyprus.

Spence is a British Army man following a long line of BA tradition in his
family this might explain his position on Cyprus? Historically, both North &
South, Irish men have joined the BA either out of family tradition or to
escape poverty & unemployment. Thousands of Irishmen died in WWI. I am not
excusing his position on Cyprus (I'm not sure what it is)

I have no doubts at all about the level of stupidity and ignorance among
the Protestant working class.  I have as I have said read enough of their
writing. I doubt if most of them could spell Zionism. But they are a
product of imperialism and this they know instinctively.  When I taught a
class of working class loyalists in the 70s, they consistently and
instinctively opposed all acts of rebellion against authority any where in
the world.

Your own bigotry is quiet outstanding!

They can only be properly understood in terms of the master slave
dialectic.  The loyalists are the slaves who have opted to be the masters
of other slaves.  Simple.

Tell you what Gary they don't really behave like humans at all, so lets
build an enormous gas chamber and do the world a big favour!
