Re: Moderator's warning to Jim Drysdale
Louis, let's hope that the following few words of *mine* do not provoke you
to barring myself.
snip> Try writing about the class struggle in Scotland in concrete
>terms, but enough already with the abc's of socialism.
JD: My concrete activities, including what I write are not something that I
would always post.
JD: I have very publicly received *your* guidance on......what I should
think, what I should talk, what I should write and now....on what I should
do, actively. Apart from other considerations, you, it appears, wish to
provoke myself?
JD: You tell the world that everyone on this list is more than acquainted
with capital. And, you tell the working class that it will have a
successful revolution...without the class...coming to understanding of
capital.
Mr. Proyect.....how the hell do you know this? Please stop patronising the
class who will overthrow capital.
JD: your ownership of the list apart.....what kind of message do you send to
prospective socialists when they see you tell other socialists what to
think, talk, write and do? Take your time and think before you answer that
Louis. i.e. the much fractured and historically ineffectual left has
already got a bad enough name, among......the working class.
JD: As far as I can see we *still* are dominated by capital. This, despite
all of the good thought word and deed of many millions, most of whom are and
were better socialists than you or I.
you write....
snip> Revolutions are not
>made because a majority of the working class finally understands the labor
>theory of value. They are made because it finally decides that the current
>system is a failure, whether or not they have an understanding of how the
>system works.
JD: Dear Louis, you, it appears, are not aware of the difference between
*most revolutions* of the past and the coming universal revolution that
buries all of the past. That is, most revolutions, of the past, can be
merely guidelines for the present. Else, we would have socialism, already.
And, as you already know everything then.....please explain why we have not
already moved to socialism? Will I get the.......the balance of class
forces were against.....type of argument? Hope for something a bit deeper,
i.e. a bit more theoretical.
JD: no doubt I'll get barred for my temerity in speaking back.
and, I read that particular book many years ago. Great literature, full of
the thought of a great revolutionary.
Where there's been one.....there can be many. Seems that you disaprove of
the many gaining knowledge?
The great revolutionaries, of course, did have deep understanding of the
labour theory of value. Not many today can say that. But, you still see
a successful revolution. Seems, debating that with you, Mr Proyect,
courts barring by yourself.
Jim.
PS: Should you desire, I'll, off-list post to yourself much of what I've
written (some published) on the local scottish scene and even further
afield. Would that showing off of my *socialist CV* make you feel that
I'm a good socialist worthy of inclusion on *your* list? Take your time
before you answer that, also. i.e many look in who are merely at the
curious stage.
I await my barring. A more relaxed comrade would not, of course, attack
others on the list that *they* own.
That is, as our class knows to its peril......its hard to buck the boss. In
private, of course, our class say.....fuck the boss.
PPS: Like youself I read meaningful media most every day. Unlike yourself,
I see most of it as evidence of the movement of decline so wish not to
regurgitate it to comrades who ALSO KNOW THIS.
You, Mr. Proyect may wish to consider that you.....have developed bad
habits. You should get out more among the class, as I do.
For example, almost all that are led to an understanding of the nature of,
for example, money, crave for more.
But that's not good enough thought, talk, or activity for you Mr Proyect.
But, not surprisingly, just dandy for the class.
do what you will. Up till now what *you* will, write, and talk...has not
moved our class one step nearer to revolution. No doubt, in your bad
habits....you will see *that* differently.
I end here, before I loose my temper.
