Re: Palestinian flags in Ireland
A friend reported this to me two days ago. I am enormously proud of the
Catholics for raising the standard of the oppressed. Of course one cannot
expect the Guardian to step outside its liberalism and to understand that
point. Instinctively the Catholics of Northern Ireland know that they
stand in the same relationship to the British and their Unionist lap dogs
as the Palestinians to to the USA and their Israeli puppets. It is not an
obtuse point at all. Rather it is a recognition by both sides in N.
Ireland that Israel has long been on the side of imperialism - whether this
necessitated traii9ng torturers for Latin America, participating in
kidnapping for Nigerian secret service or just simply builing an atomic
bomb for the apartheid regime in S. Africa.
When the British attacked Las Malvinas, in the Catholic areas the slogan
Viva Argentina appeared. Just so now it is victory for the
Palestinians. Their victory will truly be a victory for all of us.`
regards
Gary
