Irish books
Terry Eagleton is fairly good. Denis O'Hearn's book on the celtic tiger is
excellent. Fintan O'Toole is a trendy Dublin left-liberal who hates
republicanism, and writes what the anti-republican lioberal middle class -
aka the Dublin 4 set - want to hear. Which is not to say, he doesn't
sometimes hit the nail on the head, just that I find the whole milieu that
he's part of to be odious.
