I remember one document he wrote criticising the DSP. The DSP leadership
decided to circulate it to National Committee members before making it
available to the membership as a whole. This was fair enough, except that
they didn't actually get around to circulating it generally for about six
months or so, with the rank and file membership starting to ask "what aren't
they telling us?" A very stupid self-inflicted injury.
The document itself was nothing - just plain old anti-party nonsense of the
kind you expect from people moving to the right. It was obvious that his
brain had gone.
It was a shame, though. The very first DSP (then SWP) meeting I went to was
a public meeting Camejo spoke at. He was a good speaker, and made a fair
degree of sense, and basically recruited me to the DSP.
His association with the DSP was very long and close, and his move to the
right was a real blow to lots of DSPers.
