As I have stated here many times, I am OPPOSED to Mugabe. He was carrying
out IMF policies years ago. His recent conversion to "socialism" was
nothing but a gambit to stay in office. Right now there are discussions
about a unity goverment in Zimbabwe that will essentially co-opt the
domestic reform movement. That being said, I am getting a little steamed
with this international "movement" to bring democracy to Zimbabwe. If folks
like Elinor Sisulu, the MDC and zwnews.com want to maintain credibility
with the progressive movement, they are going to have cut the umbilical
cord to this kind of sleaze.
