that Swinton quote should be put on a big bronze plaque in the entryway
of every school of journalism in North America.
I remember as a student trying to get J-schoolers and profs interested
in our radical school paper, but no dice--even though we won national
awards.
Could you imagine finally getting an interview and telling your
prospective boss you worked on a paper staffed by commies and anarkids?
"Thanks.  We'll call you..."
