Nationwide strike called in Pakistan
Protesters continue to target Indonesia parliament

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan -- As violent anti-American protests continued in Muslim
Indonesia, Pakistan merchants by the thousands kept shops shuttered across the
country today after Muslim leaders there called for a national strike against
government support of U.S.-led military strikes on Afghanistan.
The strike today also was aimed at protesting a scheduled visit later in the
day by U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell.
