His fate has been worse yet, dear Gary. Because when Mussolini was
hanged, most of his creations (namely the Fascist state) was under
process of reorganization to serve the interests of the Italian
bourgeoisie in the after war period.  While Ventura Novo died watching
a ravishing socialist Cuba destroying each and every conspiration
against its independence and its thirst of social justice.

I am sure that many Ventura Novos would have preferred the death of
Mussolini to this decades long agony where each breakfast brings in a
new version of the nightmare...
