This was not Carroll's point at all nor Mine's.  What Carroll has done is
to widen the whole issue and suggest that Lou is attacking Wood because he
is motivated by sexism.  This is totally unfair and drags down the tone of
the debate.  What you have done of course is to ignore the provocation from
Carroll which is but one in a fairly long series.

It gives me no joy at all to say this, but I cannot in all conscience stand
by while these ad hominem attacks are developing.  And please Richard try
and refrain from the casual insult such as "and Mine of course".  That is
unworthy of you.

Lou has now taken on Wood head on.  surely this is where we should be
conentrating our contributions.
