I'm not certain whether this is supposed to be a knock-out blow refuting
my point, but I don't think so.
The article you refer to quotes Birchall's little pamphlet approvingly
and also uses John Molyneux's critique of the FI, which was written at
about the same time.
That's not to say that the article is an endorsement of the British
SWP's strategy, since it's not only a critique of "orthodox" Trotskyism
but also of the IS Tendency. Nevertheless, I don't think many of us
would quarrel with most of the points made in the article. We would, of
course, tend to differ on the critique of the SWP/IST. ;-)
