Cochran on U.S. Labor

I read Cochran's book on U.S. Labor when it came out, about 20 years ago. my
memory is that it was very critical of the policies of the C.P. I felt that
he was making a contribution to the cold war which was still raging. at the
time, I thought he was just another Trotskyist who had moved to the
rightwing. perhaps someone who has looked at his book more recently has
another impression.
