one can make a distinction between political organizations and publishing
socialist literature.both are important. some political parties have also
played an important role in providing a radical library. International
Publishers and Path Finder Press might be mentioned in this context. Left
publishing houses like Monthly Review and Verso are also important. having a
Left literature has helped keep a vision of the socialist movement alive in
dark times. even the Left academic journals have been important.
