Yes, there are similarities. However, Narmada is small when compared with
Aswan. It is even smaller than Three Gorges Dam in China. Narmada river is
about 1200 km long. The area of the Narmada lake is less than a tenth of
that of Aswan. Narmada Dam height is only 90 metres.
