Re: what is going on?

Look, nobody asked my permission when they subscribed me to CAPITALISM, which
I've
been trying to unsub from for 53 years without success. So if that's how it's
gonna
be, no-one should be surprised to find themselves subjected to compulsory
re-education on the CrashList (to which I just subscribed you btw). That's a
minimal
fate by comparison. It could be a lot worse, anyway. Last night for eg I sat
thru
the most dismal performance of the Nutcracker I've ever seen, at the English
National Ballet, and I'd been involuntarily taken there, too, and to a cheap
balcony
seat, what's more. I always take high-power Soviet-made nightglasses to these
occasions and was able to watch couples necking in the boxes instead of the
Sugar
Plum Fairy doing a pas-de-deux. This was small compensation, however, for the
woodenness of a performance by a box of animated liqorice allsorts (the only
kind of
confectionery the ENB can afford) which might have been better left in its
humidor,
except for the Arabian Slaves who were quite voluptuous.

Now I'm back here, filling the argumentativeness spot left still warm by
Yoshie, I'd
like you all to listen up and take notice. The slump is HERE. That's (a). B:
Americans no longer live in a democracy. that means (c) anything goes, and (d)
moral
and and historical legitimacy is for the first time in almost a century ON OUR
SIDE.

Long live the World Revolution. Only we have a right to speak of it; only we
have a
right to speak any more for DEMOCRACY. The big US parties have disenfranchised
themselves; the US is one big rotten borough owned by the most corrupt,
world-destroying, exterminist corporations known to history. The quislings of
the
Nato "democracies" have by their psuillanimity and deceitfulness, also lost all
moral cachet and any shred of political legitimacy. This great crisis of ruling
class hegemony and legitimation is the anteroom to some of the darkest pages in
history, but we can light a beacon in this darkness and we shall.
