Re: Sylvia Weinstein
I knew Sylvia in the 1970's in SF. Roland captures her work and
revolutionary spirit very well. She was part of the older layer of SWP
comrades that had learned Marxism in the '50's and '60's that were eager to
educate the new wave of activists I was part of in the '70's. It is always
sad to see a revolutionary go, but it is also deeply inspiring to see how
an activist like Syvia could keep up her work and optimism over so many
decades. That alone is a significant contribution we can all learn from.
