Sure, and anthropologists are perfectly aware of this.
Physical anthropologists study it in detail. When they
say "Gee, this sure doesn't LOOK Native American,"
they are taking factors like that into account.

There is at MINIMUM a difference of opinion on the
subject, which warrants further study. Unfortunately,
some people seem to think "warrants further study"
means "racist assault on the sovereignty of Native
Americans."
