Eh? I can't speak for other countries, but in the US
there were three major socialist organizations at the
time - the Socialist Party, the Socialist Labor Party,
and the IWW.

The SLP supported the Bolshevik revolution, even if
they chnged their tune later. The SP had no official
line, but about half supported the Bolsheviks - hence
the split to form the CP. That was, in essence, the
Marxist - rather than Social Democrat - faction of the
SP. The IWW, like the SP, was not itself a "Marxist"
organization, but the new CP did attract a significant
number of Wobblies, based on their association with
the CPSU.

I think it's safe to say that most self-described
Marxists, at least in the US, *did* support the
Bolsheviks.
