the new millennium?

just think of it; the new millennium begins in two days. last year was just
a commercial success. as Steven J. Gould argued, those makers of the
calendar in (was it 800 and something?) forgot the use of the zero. remember
Walter C. Clarke's movie is called "2001, a Space oddicy."



this morning Mayor Juliani was on TV . he said everything is under control.
New years eve will go on. it's the cash nexus that will go on. at least this
time they won't have to weld the manhole covers down. happy millenium to
all.
