On U.S. campuses the stakes were much lower, so one
cannot accuse him of killing anyone here -- but he certainly
fucked up the minds of student anti-war activists who took
him seriously. They then had a tendency to read every other
revolutionary's work through 'Debrayist' spectacles, and oh
what bizarre interpretations of Mao & Giap (and their relevance
to U.S. politics) resulted.
