Lou, you take everything so personally, but I'm opposed to your
stance of "personal is political" taken to its extreme. The
questions I have raised come from my long-standing effort to bring
feminist perspectives to Marxism & vice versa. Why you interpret my
political disagreement with you here as my effort to "rile you up"
mystifies me.
My approach has always been to separate individual Marxists such as
you & Doug from particular political stances taken by them on
particular issues. Just because you disagree with Doug on such minor
topics as how to evaluate Judith Butler & Co. doesn't mean that you
have to disagree with him on _everything_.

I'll be happy to abide by your rule, but you know very well that no
part of the current debate has been forwarded to LBO-talk & PEN-l.
And it is you who brought up Debbie Nathan, just because Doug
happened to mention her favorably on PEN-l a couple of days ago, I
suppose. I'm not even sure if you would be interested in Nathan one
way or another if it were not for your cyber-feud with Doug.
