You know, _no one on this list_ thinks that "capitalism contributes
to wealth of nations *equally*," but if you have evidence to the
contrary, I'd like you to present it. I think it's time for you to
treat your interlocutors on this list as Marxists, _even when you
have some disagreements with them_. I'd like to think that you will
contribute more to discussion if you do. As long as you pretend that
the interlocutors with whom you think you disagree are non-Marxists,
however, you will never post anything other than the ABC of Marxism
(no, actually, only the first letter of Marxism).
>Free liberal trade is a
>cover for this, which is nothing but a trade of capitalist plunder.
What do you think of China's entry to the WTO? The anti-sweatshop
movement? American liberals & leftists demanding the so-called
social clause & fair trade? While free-trade ideologues are noxious,
those who oppose free trade can be problematic and sometimes racist.
One would want to steer away from both, but there are few who do so.
In concrete terms, what would it take to help organize a movement in
the USA against free trade _as well as_ protectionism, economic
embargoes, social imperialism, etc.?
Here's an issue of Monthly Review on the subject:
<http://www.monthlyreview.org/700editr.htm>. Any thought on any of
the articles?
