You might take a look at the Marxists Internet Archive's "Psychology and
Marxism" page http://www.marxists.org/subject/psychology/index.htm
At least two of the authors dealt with therein, Lev Vygotsky and D. B.
Elkonin, have been influential in the field of early childhood
education.
