Interesting. The SWP is called the Communist League in Canada. I'll
recognize them among the top radicals in the country when they
dissolve in the same manner you describe.

Honestly Jose, I didn't have anything against these comrades until I
was tld to defend the European Worker's States at one of their
meetings. I laughed, thinking it was an inside joke about the former
state of the Trotskyist movement, but left a shortly after I
discovered it was a confession about the state of this party. It
wasn't until I hade been on this list awhile that I realised they
actually had a history that was somewhat worth being proud of. I
thought they were worse than the Sparts when I encountered them a few
years back, to be honest.

At any rate, I can tell you that I run into activists all the time
that I have met in
the last few years. Many (not most) of the Reds have quit the parties
they were tied to when I met them. Of these, only the Barnesites have
no party (or politics, to speak of) today, while the others are indies
or or in other sects/parties.

The idea that going from $4.50 to $50.00 (us) could be reasonable is
rather disturbing. How so? Do we have any reason to believe that the
CL is wrong when they tell me "Collector's items"? If them marking up
a book to this price was reasonable for a Marxist movement to do, why
did the Canadian CP keep the price at $6.50? The honesty of the
Cominform?
