I stressed the, er, surgical side just to show how deep had the axle
of Revolution gone with Cromwell, but the admiration of Trotsky for
the man stemmed also from his political boldness, for example when he
ironically dismissed the Parliament. Marx, in the 18th. Brummaire,
has a very pungent comment on the relative merits of the Left in
1648, 1789 and 1848. Part of the _strictly political_ movements by
Lenin and Trotsky in 1917 (e.g. the dismissal of the Constitutional
Assembly, the uncommon -for Lenin- disrespect to the body when he
stated abruptly that "there is such a party") are carbon-copied from
Oliver's actions. In the end, you cannot split a head from a body if
you are not decided to end with the social or political structure
that these two parts of the Royal person stitch together.

Ah, this is quite true. But in this sense, the history of the French
Monarchy can also show examples. The bourgeoisie has tended to always
thrive under the Sun of the aristocrats, only that in what today are
the imperialist nations there came a moment when this coexistence was
forced to tilt to one side (reinvestment) against the other one
(rentistic consumption), and not necessarily by the bourgeoisie
itself.
