I sent my previous post before seeing this one, of course.

This is probably correct, and probably some PRDers (hopefully ex-) will
have already made this step. There is, no doubt, enough of a swamp in
Indonesian politics to encourage this.

That said, there is also the question of the correct demands to pose in the
current situation. I don't know what they are exactly, but "consistently
completing" the "democractic transition" is probably part of the thrust of
it. That is, pushing for transitional demands that go beyond where Wahid
and liberals are willing to go, that mobilise the masses, and lead towards
the ultimate goal.

I don't know if the PRD are up to this. Some probably aren't, some
probably are - we will see. What makes them interesting is that they are
rather more likely to have some who are than any other current.

Lots of uses of "probably" in this post, huh? I could have added some more
"I don't knows" as well.
