Somiotic Marxism
- Subject: Somiotic Marxism
- From: Julio Pino <jpino@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
- Date: Tue, 19 Sep 2000 16:47:17 -0700
Question for the day: What's the most insipid conference title you've ever
heard?
My candidate: "Towards a Theory of Semiotic Resistance in Pinochet's
Chile", delivered by a Harvard Ph.d candidate in 1993 at Villanova University.
My response: Never mind semiotics, kid, why not just pick up a bazooka and
kill the old SOB?
