In Columbus, Ohio, many of those who went to Seattle and/or A16 in
D.C. have been involved in, among other things:

* support for CWA Local 4501 at Ohio State University
* civil disobedience in support of Mumia Abu-Jamal
* building Jobs with Justice
* creating a chapter of USAS (United Students Against Sweatshop)
* fundraising for Kaleidoscope (a GLBT youth support group)
* fundraising for a Campaign of Conscience for the Iraqi People
(initiated by AFSC) at our annual Hiroshima & Nagasaki commemoration
* joining a rally in support of HERE's organizing workers at Holiday
Inn in downtown Columbus
* joining a rally against police brutality (led by Police Officers
for Equal Rights)
* joining a rally in support of locked-out AK Steel workers in Mansfield, Ohio
* joining a "Stop the Clock" rally (led by Ohio Empowerment
Coalition -- a welfare rights group) against time limits & sanctions
on welfare recipients
* organizing an upcoming rally (led by Prisoners' Advocacy Network)
in support of prisoners' rights (Sept. 28)

Yoshie

P.S. Some of them also organized a demo against medical experiments
on cats at Ohio State University (cats are used to evaluate effects
of drug use on people with AIDS). I skipped this one. :)
