Re: Yoshie's Points about Chomsky

Where oh where have all these grass-roots leaders and activists from the
sixties gone?
We need to get all these people involved in the struggles of today---
organizing the "new" sweatshops of north america, in the struggles against
globalization and against police brutality.
Most importantly, we need to introduce a whole new generation of activists
to working-class activism and Marxism.
Chomsky is good at selling books and many of his writings are very
insightful... but, what comes from what he writes as far as building any
kind of meaningful movements for change?
As Marxists we should welcome dialogue and debate to win over those young
people who are mislead by the anarchists who pose no solutions to
anything... they never have and never will.
Change takes organization.... fighting against sweatshop owners and
capitalist globalization takes strong organization.
I have never seen an anarchist build a union. Why do you think William Z.
Foster, Elizabeth Gurley Flynn, Big Bill Haywood joined the Communist
movement?
I believe the way to combat the misleading aspects of Chomsky and other
anarchists is to take part in the struggles of working people for better
lives... anyone seen Chomsky on the picket-line?
