Just for added irrelevance, Budweiser, the American (horrible) beer brand has
actually stolen its name from the original Budweiser which is a beer brewed in
the Czech town of Ceske Budejovice, known under the Austrians as Budweis.
Whoever launched the American Budweiser label early in the 20th century, I
suppose, just took the name from the popular European brand.  After the fall
of socialism in Czechoslovakia the Americans tried to market their vile stuff
in the Czech republic but the Czechs responded with trade mark infringement
suits.  I have no idea how that turned out, but it must show something that
even American beer names are stolen!
