European Union Message To Mexico- We Love You Zedillo, We Love YouFox

Felipe Gonzalez, ex- Presidente of Spain, has landed in Mexico into the
footsteps of Jimmy Carter, with messages of love and advice to all,
interspersed between his puffs on cigarrettes. Now president of
something called Fundacion Progreso Global, his 14 years as transition
ruler of 'democracy' in Spain carry special weight to those wanting to
reconstitute political parties into being more subsevient to global
capital.

Zedillo must feel content underneath the heeps of eulogies gushing forth
from Gonzalez. Though he was in Chiapas talking ecology and the
need to plant more trees on 'Tree Day', as he addressed 2,000 Mexican
troops about how sad he was that Mexico had lost 1/3 of it's forests in
the last 5 years.

Meanwhile, in Peru, the Carter Center issued a call for new elections to
be held, since the results of Fujimori's robbery from Alejandro Toledo
of the recent election was not to the liking of Clinton. The US and
allies will force Latin America to be 'democratic', even if patas have
to be twisted to make their dogs obey.

Felipe Gonzalez gave out advice to one and all (yeah, Erik, even to
Porfirio Munoz Ledo) from his Mexico City Hotel. He gave
instructions to the PRI on how to do the 'alternancia' thing.
Rather wierd when one considers he held on to office for 14 years.

He told PRD that they must be a 'modern' party with Leftist ideology, if
they don't want to be eliminated. Tony Blair as PRD presidential
candidate, next time, maybe, Felipe?!

One of the funniest parts of the Excelsior interview below, is where
Gonzalez credits the PRI with having unified Mexico! Isn't that the
truth!

Felipe Gonzalez and Jimmy Carter. These two neo-liberal lizards can
give you salmonella just by reading their comments. Be careful, as
you read the Excelsior interview (en espanol).

Tony
