I was specifically comparing with France. And as to the bourgeois
revolution in Germany, if you mean a "classical" bourgeois revolution
with all the features that describe, say, the Third French Republic,
its absence was IMHO more a reason to consider German bourgeoisie a
strong one and not a weak one.

But having lost WWI, and the existence of a militant working class
are good points on your side!
