*ALERT!*
Death-penalty foes disrupt Bush at NAACP convention
Workers World Party presidential candidate Monica Moorehead, Larry Holmes of
Millions for Mumia/IAC, Imani Henry of Rainbow Flags for Mumia and other
African American activists disrupted Texas Gov. George W. Bush's keynote
address at the NAACP Convention in Baltimore today. The activists chanted,
"Remember Gary Graham! Bush killed an innocent man!" and carried signs
saying, "Avenge Shaka, Free Mumia."
The action was broadcast live on C-Span and the NAACP's Web site. The
death-penalty foes held court for several minutes in front of the media
before being dragged away out security. None of the protesters were injured
or arrested.
