Re: Fite Klub Sucks etc.

Dear Cde "soilride"
Thank you for your kind commments. While you seek inspiration other seek
a 'vehicle for expression' for proletarian and revolutionary ideas/ideals to
be expressed in film-art. I find it hard to conceptualize someone who is
'uninspired', 'talented' and a 'Marxist-Leninist' all at the same time.

The great French sociologist, Jacques Ellul wrote in his book "Propaganda,
the Formation of Men's Attitudes" that 'the truth is the best propaganda!'.
History is full of inspiration. How many films have been made about the
great Paris Commune of 1871?? How many films have been made about the great
General Strike in France in 1968??

The key to unlock your 'creative block' is to simply concentrate on a simple
formula, namely: 'How do ordinary people become radicalized and politicized,
both by the events around them and by those persons around them who
consciously jump into the class struggle with eyes wide open??' The plot
begins with ordinary people who are put through extrodinary experiences and
come away changed forever. In effect, they end up much as we are. They are,
to coin a phrase, "Born On The Barricades" into new persons who are moving
in a new direction and seeking the truth about things they had been lied to
their whole lives.

There is your inspiration, there is your framework. All you have to do is
flesh it out with people, places and events. We, as Marxist-Leninists, have
an abundance of inspiration because we each have a 'track record' that
weaves tightly into the histories of the class struggles we have been pulled
into or volunteered for. So, while Ellul said that 'The truth is the best
propaganda', I say: 'The truth is the best art as well'.

Adios
George
