NORTH KOREA PROPOSES FOR CONFEDREATION AT KOREAN PENINSULA. HIGH LEVEL
TALKS WILL AT LAST START.

NORTH KOREA´S ECONOMY IMPROVES RAPIDLY. USA THREATENS AGAIN.

A WORLDWIDE FRONT AGAINST IMPERIALISM UNDER CONSTRUCTION. DPRK DEVELOPES
INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS.

Korean peninsula was divided after the Korean War in the early fifties. The
imperialist forces with the arms of USA fighted under the flag of United
Nations. In this war imperialist powers were defeated. However, the country
was splitted. Two states were established, socialist North Korea and
capitalist South Korea. The ideological contradiction between these
countries still continues in spite of workers´ co-operation in both Koreas.

Korean people on both sides would rather have only one state. The state of
North Korea, North-Korean Workers´ Party of Korea, South Korean citizens´
movement National Democratic Front of South Korea and the Trade Unions of
South Korea support the reunification. USA and their puppet regime in South
Korea are the only obstacle in forming united Korea.

The relations between Koreans and Americans are not warm. A massacre
committed by the US army during the war has just come to publicity. This
massacre hardly promotes friendship.

No peace agreement has been made after the Korean war.

The war continues in form of propaganda. North Korea appears as the first
anti-imperialist force in the world. In spite of the apparent political and
economical realities of today´s world there is clear logicality in this
idea. DPRK gets day by day stronger.

USA blaims North Korea for hiding some kind of superarms. North Korea
produces and sells weapons in order to support its food supply. Capitalist
countries buy these weapons. Also other countries have arms, especially
NATO. Accusations about superarms have been heard elsewhere and they sound
amusing... It is more serious that USA uses commercial coercions against
North Korea.

The western media tells stories about submarine incidents in Korea in order
to create an idea of military threat from North Korea. The truth is again
just the opposite. DPRK has to defend her area with minisubmarines against
penetrators and aggressions from south.

DPRK has a strong army. The army works mainly for welfare of civilians. The
meaning of the army and purpose for investments to the army have got in the
bourgeois media a completely distorted form.

Civil people of North Korea work efficiently for the agriculture. This
efficiency has been noted by the UN officials. People have moved from towns
and cities to countryside to work on fields for harvests.

Democratic People´s Republic of Korea is based on the Jucheistic ideology
by Kim Il Sung. Jucheism does not in every respect follow the traditional
dialectical materialism. However, the country is a developed socialist
community with high standard of social knowledge and education.

Democratic People´s Republic of Korea celebrated its 50years anniversary in
August 1998 by launching a satellite.

North Korea excavates tunnels and builds other underground constructions.
In the end of 1998 USA has suspected on this basis DPRK for dangerous
military plans like it has done when Libya builds her water maintenance
system. In January 1999 USA demanded for arms control in the underground
srturctures. In March 1999 North Korea accepted the inspections because
they have nothing to hide.

Nothing interesting was found. USA promised to pay for the inspections by
delivering raw oil to DPRK.

No oil was delivered.

In 2000 USA, Japan and South Korea speak of military threat of North Korea.
To be translated to thruth this means that USA, Japan and South Korea may
plan for military operations against DPRK.

Because of several successive bad years in the nineties and floods North
Korea has had an emergency. Millions of people were starving. Exceptional
weather conditions and bad productivity of soil may have been caused
artificially by enemies of North Korea. According to the big noise by the
western media the poor productivity of agriculture is caused by socialism.
However, the main reason to the situation are obviously the poisons
spreaded to North Korea by USA during the Korean war. These poisons have
spoiled the earth and caused erosion.

Improvement could be possible with fertilizers. Because of commercial
embargo caused by USA the country has not been able to buy enough
fertilizers.

The international relief fund systems are controlled by capitalism. Of
course, they have not been interested in the emergency in this particular
case.

In case of any kind of help from governmental levels there have been
efforts to connect it to political terms. Additionally, where were the
declarations of the so called human right organizations in this situation?

In the end of May 1999 USA gave promises to give up the commercial embargo.
Might this matter have had connections with the fiasco of NATO´s war in
Europe or with the possible new aggressions?

In June 1999 high level officials of Democratic People´s Republic of Korea
and People´s Republic of China had a meeting. They undesigned a pact of
mutual aid. USA´s effort so flatter North Korea led just to the opposite
result.

Because of a quarrel of fishing areas there was a military conflict between
Koreas in June 1999. This incident is obvioulsy an imperialist provocation
carried out through South Korea.

Democratic People´s Republic of Korea has large oil wells. Already for
several years the country has offered oil resources to be used for the need
of the world. No practical results so far. Capitalists would let people die
sooner than have commercial relations with a socialist country.

In August 1999 North Korea offered very reasonable terms for peace pact to
USA and to the political leadership of South Korea. The offer was rejected.
Instead of political aim to peace USA is pushing Japan for further
militarization in co-operation with NATO. This means a new threat to DPRK
and to all the mankind alike.

Up to 2000 North Korean economy has improved significantly. Food
maintenance works better.

North Korean party leader Kim Jong Il has proposed forming a confederation
of North and South Korea. The only obstacle is the precence of USA in South
Korea.
In September 1999 DPRK has demanded for new arrangements of sea borders.
The new dividing of sea areas is intended to rectify the unjustice of
arbitrary borders settled by USA in the name of UN after the Korean war.

In autumn 1999 USA eased the commercial blockade a bit. The more
intelligent generals of NATO have obviously let the American political
decisionmakers to know that it were not wise to try to use military power.
DPRK has got a political victory because of existence of her strong army.

In October 1999 Democratic People´s Republic of Korea and People´s Republic
of China have normalized their mutual diplomatic, political and economic
relations.
In the new millenium DPRK has activated a lot of political and commercial
relations around the world.

In 2000 threatens again DPRK. The danger of a nuclear war is a reality. At
the same time USA persuades Vietnam with wheat shippings. Yet the red zone
in Asia has been born in order to stay. American pitiable efforts to break
this front will not succeed because of the high level of thinking and
because of the higher moral and civilization in Asia.

In the beginning of November 1999 USA  arranged a provocatory war maneuvre
near the border of Koreas.

Talks between DPRK and USA have continued at the level of special delegates
in the beginning of 2000. South Korean political leaders disturb the talks
intentionally. South Korea is in political and economic difficulties. The
leaders of South Korea want war.

USA on its side has made the efforts for peace difficult by planning to
send advanced missile systems to South Korea and to Japan. USA´s lackey
Israel delivers already now unmanned aircrafts to South Korea. DPRK has
given an official warning to Israel for endangering the peace process in
Korean peninsula.

North Korea´s signifigance in the worldwide struggle against imperialism
has been widely understood. The Peruvian coastal town of Huacho presented
Democratic People's Republic of Korea President Kim Jong-Il with a
certificate of honorary citizenship.

DPRK opens new foreign political and economic relations. In January 2000
DPRK has established diplomatic relations with Italy. DPRK has diplomatic
relations among other European counties also with Sweden. In March 20000
the relations between DPRK and Sweden have been developed further in
foreing ministry level meetings.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il´s birthday was celebrated in February 2000.
Visits from countries all around the world took place and congratulation
messages were received. The large honor for Kim jong Il is an appearance of
world´s exploited people´s confidence for him personally and for the
anti-imperialist politics of DPRK in general.

DPRK works for a large co-operation with the exploited peoples all around
the world.

Kim Yong Nam, President of the presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's
Assembly, attended the NAM summit in Havana and paid an official visit to
Cuba on the invitation of Fidel Castro Ruz, President of the Council of
State of the Republic of Cuba.

DPRK has begun a project to start light water reactors to be ready in 2010.
According to USA the character of the project is military. Yet from ligth
water reactors it is not possible to get any material needed for nuclear
weapons.

When opening the session of the Supreme People´s Assembly in April 2000 the
leadership of DPRK has expressed satisfaction for implementing of national
economic and scientific plans in 1999. New goals of high level will be set.

On 10th of April 2000 north and south Korea have at last agreed to arrange
a meeting in order to advance the reunification. The top level negotiations
will be carried on in summer 2000. The new situation is not pleasant for
USA. It means ending of the US military presence in south Korea.
