Most of what I read seems to regard the KLA as very much a minority force
compared to Rugova and his allies. The turn to the KLA was after ,well
after Rugovas policy of passive resistance was proved useless. With a line
like yours the Nazis were the authentic representatives of the German
nation and so on.I do not regard the Miloshevik regime or even the serb
opposition as the authentic reps of the Serb nation and hope that the
small forces of internationalism in Serbia will eventually reach out top
similar groups throughout the Balkans and push the forces of reaction
aside. But pandering to chauvinism whether of the Great Serbia, Albania ,
Bulgaria etc is no way forward. In my opinion Tito was a saint compared to
Miloshevik and his policies of trying for equality amongst the Balkan
nations even with distortions was better that the line of Jared who would
have made the entire Croat people pay for the crimes of the few. Why Jared
regards Rugova as little better than the KLA.

Further in the same post you laud the Serbs toleration of minorities. Well
what about the Hungarians of the V ( can never get the spelling right) and
the Slovaks. This place had autonomy and there was no danger of secession
as the Serbs are a majority there.

The rump UK could and its apologists do claim that it is multi ethnic with
toleration compared to the 26 county state.

Some nationalist organisations did respond to Unionist/Loyalist atrocities
with ones of their own.It was and still is a struggle to keep the United
Irsih ideal of the Republican movemnent and prevent a slippage into a
crude mirror image of Protestant sectarianism.
