I would ask José to further explain his idea on the "underlying
postulate". I tend to believe that small nationalities [there is no
such an animal as a "small nation" in the sense José is speaking of
here, since in this sense we are facing a qualitative, not a
quantitative, determination] are -save for very particular situations-
doomed to either struggle for their democratic inclusion into
nations or to become puppets of imperialism.

But this does not make me suppose that imperialism, with its feet
made of mud, is invincible. At most, I follow's Mao's contemptuous
disdain of imperialism strategically and his careful respect towards
imperialism tactically.
