You have to dig a lot deeper than this. Clinton offered Putin the services
of the FBI to track down Chechen "terrorists" and defended the siege of
Grozny in a January Time Magazine article. I have no idea what you mean by
a "stronger" stance on Yugoslavia. This is sort of like closing the barn
door after the horse has fled. In general the left has no business giving
any kind of political credit to Putin, who is a Yeltsinite through and
through.
