I don't know if the initial impetus of VVAW-AI was the from the RCP
itself, but the ties certanly are close. In fact the groups almost sole
public expression is through the Revolutionary Worker, and A. Belden
Fields, in *Trotskyism and Maoism: Theory and Practice in France and the
United States* (Autonomedia, 1988) states that the RCP palyed "an
important but divisive role" in the split in Vietnam Veterans Against
the War.
