Question regarding a Marxist book
- Subject: Question regarding a Marxist book

About a month ago, I was searching one of the on-line radical book stores
(who's name escapes me at the moment, but it can be found on a link at
http://www.marxmail.org) and ran across a strange title: Karl Marx: "A
World Without Jews"...
It looks like it probably is an edited anthology of Marx's works on the
Jewish religion. Now, I'm well aware of Engels' distaste for Irish micks
such as myself (he said that "our nature" is to get piss-drunk in his
"Working Class in England") but to think of Marx as an anti-semite? Hmmm...
My friend's dad is someone who takes a liking to Hitler for some reason. He
has a whole collection of Nazi propaganda books and biographies of the
Fuher.. I was looking through one of his books--it was a collection of
letters and short works by Adolph. I wondered what Uncle Adolph thought of
our friend Marx so I turned to the index and found Hitler quoting passages
from "On the Jewish Question" (Where, ironically is where the quote I have
below originated from) I read "Jewish Question"--I didn't find anything
Anti-semitic in it--aside from a celebration of Atheism...
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Has anyone read the book "Karl Marx: A
World Without Jews" before?

Money is the universal self-established value of all things. It has,
therefore, robbed the whole world -- both the world of men and nature -- of
its specific value. Money is the estranged essence of man's work and man's
existence, and this alien essence dominates him, and he worships it.--Dr.
Karl Marx
