One reason why the West allows Russia to "butcher" Checnya and the Chechens
is to hold on to capitalist power. The West is giving as much money to the
current capitalist Putin government (Yeltsin gov previously) to secure the
hold on trade and exports/ income, etc. Many revolutionary movements exist
in Russia - several fascist groups, communist, and radicals - therefore the
West (mainly USA) knows that if it would not support Russia - or go against
it - it would cause economic trouble for the world (since the nations are
interdependant - as predicted by M/E in the Communist Menifesto)  . . . that
is the reason the West doesn't protest against Russia as it did against
Kosovo - Yugoslavia is not capitalist therefore there was no problem!  One
