Fwd: Re: Answering Chris was Re: my column
Hmmm, gay, communist and arrested....well this doesn't make a pariah in my
books.
I have had enough experience with anarchists, on lists eg PNEWS, in Canberra
(1980's)
and in the 1970's (Fed. Aust. Anarc.). Always they cling to the r-r-r-left and
split
it off from or use it as a base to attack the mainstream Marxist left.
Anarchists are now 'far and few between' although I did have the misfortune to
hear
the latest crop of anarchist youngsters prattle-on over radio 2XX last
wednesday(?)
preaching the Tory concept of voluntary elections. They said precisely -
"If democracy is so wonderful - why don't they make it voluntary"
This is pure Liberal crap (eg Senator Minchin -sp?).
I am amazed just how easily anarchists line up with the right. They can wreak
great
havoc on the left.
As far as the DSP is concerned - I probably agree with Gary, but not to the
extent of
the old hoary line of the big bad union bureaucrats etc etc, yeah, yeah.
Anarchists are stray-dogs in sheeps clothing and i cannot thik of a single
useful
sustainable thing they have ever contributed except attacks on the left - and
we know
this actually benefits capitalism. Bob Leach was not the sort of anarchist I am
concerned about. Some people may have called themselves anarchist in the past
because
of subjective influences and cultural milleu.
