Re: IRA and decommissioning
The latest news is that there has been a bomb attack on a hotel in
Fermanagh. This was seemingly carried out by the Continuity IRA. So the
Real IRA and the CIRA would appear to be amounting some kind of challenge
to the Adams-Mcguinness line. But can they find a way to politicise this
challenge? Highly doubtful. Still their activities might actually take
some pressure off Admas & co because the British might opine that they
would rather deal with Adams than Rory Brady of Continuity Sinn Fein.
Maybe. Meanwhile the moderates of the SDLP are distinguishing themselves
by adding to the pressure on the IRA to give up their guns. There is
something about John Hume of the SDLP I really dislike. It's the
sanctimonious ex-priest bit I suppose.
